What it is intended to be
The publication plan is intended to bring together, in one place, how ALiF work is made public: which papers are planned, in what order, how research findings relate to new versions of the Standard, and which materials are released openly. There is no dedicated publication plan document yet.
What is already in place
- The research pipeline. The current status of each paper and validation study is tracked on the research pipeline page: one published preprint, one article under review, one active validation phase and several planned items.
- Dissemination in the Development Protocol. The Development Protocol plans an internal technical report, a conference presentation, a methods paper in a peer-reviewed journal, and open release of assessment materials and technical documentation, subject to intellectual property considerations.
- A citation rule. ALiF documents do not cite a manuscript as published while it is still under review.
- Licensing. The Standard and its companion documents are released under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0.
- Protecting validation. Item wording and scoring details for ALiF instruments are not published while validation is under way.
Under consideration
ALiF 2.0 planning documents propose a paper describing the Learning Conditions Statement as a case of a standard revised in response to evidence on AI and expertise formation, to be submitted after the revised Standard is released.
Status
Planned. Details will be published on this page when the plan is agreed.
