What it is

The HE Readiness Assessment is a self-report instrument for the higher education setting that appears in the ALiF measurement ecosystem at the Referenced tier. Like the HP Readiness Survey for health professionals, it is classified as Complementary: it addresses readiness to develop AI literacy rather than AI literacy itself, and it does not operationalize the ALiF components.

How it relates to ALiF

Complementary instruments sit beside the ALiF-SAQ, not in place of it. Readiness information can help coordinators interpret a competency profile and decide whether a learner needs support with motivation, confidence or organizational barriers before or alongside training.

What Referenced status means

ALiF Referenced is the entry tier of the ALiF endorsement model. It rests on self-declared alignment with at least one ALiF component, recorded in a Quick Registry form that the core team checks for completeness only. It does not mean that ALiF has reviewed or validated the instrument. Moving to ALiF Endorsed requires expert content validity evidence, pilot data from at least 30 respondents and a full registry entry.

Status

Details of this instrument’s content, length and validation have not yet been documented in ALiF materials. They will be published here once its registry entry is available.

Documents will be available to download when they are released under an open licence. Until then, contact the ALiF core team.
